MITZIE Y.T. WONG

Mitzie Y.T Wong is a product designer, painter and spontaneous globe trotter. 

Born and raised in the UK, Mitzie has spent the past 21 years in the U.S and became an American citizen in 2016. She studied at Winchester School of Art, UK and graduated with honors with a B.A in Painting and Textiles.

Mitzie has been exploring, creating and designing professionally for the past 25 years.  Her distinctive spirited and soulful approach to concept design, coupled with her imaginative use of color, art and trend has led to the development of highly successful original product, changing home design.

Always seeking adventure, Mitzie has joyously travelled the world for work, play and inspiration. Her career has enabled her to focus on creating original concepts, often working alongside craftsman, vendors and agents to create product and also collaborating with individual designers across the globe.

In 2015, Mitzie co-founded Roar + Rabbit, a creative firm specializing in furniture and decor, pursuing creative freedom and unlimited collaborations. 

Previously she had worked in various design fields, including ten years as the Design Director for Anthropologie Home, where she led a dynamic design team to create concepts and unique branded product across all categories.

She recently relocated from Philadelphia to Dumbo, Brooklyn where she keeps busy designing and exploring through her passion of painting. Ever so grateful to be part of amazing organizations such as Edible School Yards -NYC, NEST and Soul Safari. In her down time she is likely to off exploring the surrounding neighborhoods on her bike.

WENDY WURTZBURGER

Wendy Wurtzburger is a high energy business leader, lifestyle visionary and retail veteran. 

A lover of the outdoors, the inner city and far flung travel, Wendy is also passionate about roots, family and home.  

Wendy grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, has lived in Brooklyn and San Francisco and now splits her time between a farmhouse by the Wissahickon in Philadelphia and a cottage on a wildflower meadow on Lake huron in Northern Michigan.  A gatherer of art, textiles, objects, pets and plants her houses are vibrant and warm and usually busy with food family and friends. 

Prior to having her own business Wendy spent 15 years at Anthropologie where she became Chief Merchandising and Design Officer and Global Co-President. Anthropologie grew from under 100 million and 13 stores to an over a billion dollar multi channel business. The most rewarding part of the job was engaging a talented team of designers and merchants to design, develop and scour the globe and artisan community for the uniquely positioned apparel, accessory and home product the brand is known for. As Global Co-President Wendy’s leadership positioned and fueled digital and retail growth, record profits, new concepts and international expansion. 

In addition to being Co-Founder of  Roar + Rabbit, creative design firm, Wendy acts as a consultant and advisor for multiple retailers and brands. Tapping into her 30 year history of visioning and evolving categories and brands, she can assess and tackle detail as well as conceptualize at ten-thousand feet. Wendy brings an original perspective that integrates art, nature and fashion. She has an instinct for what’s next and an eye for beauty. Her passion is to make great design accessible combining art and commerce.
